Here at the Four Rivers Cultural Center, we seek to connect our community–and all the people who make up our region–with a lifetime of enriching experiences! That’s why we’re bringing the imagination to life on Friday, March 18th with Art After Dark, a special-themed Member’s Night that dives into the world of the arts!
Join us from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and explore your creative side through a series of FREE fun activities by exploring our Museum, our Gallery and making new and exciting community connections with local artists!
What’s Happening?
This evening is all about art. We’re bringing real-life artists together to show their artistic vision in real-time with a live installation piece focused on FRCC’s mission. Watch as they work together to create a masterpiece right before your eyes! Ask questions and learn about the creative process!
We believe everyone is an artist. Want the chance to prove it? Grab a canvas! We’ve printed some of our favorite paintings for you to try your hand at. Enjoy a challenge? We’ve got an arts-based scavenger hunt prepared for you to tackle with your friends and family, and so much more!
What You Need to Know:
- This event is exclusively for members. But we know it’s not really a party without the people we love! Invite your friends and family to join you for the evening for only $15! If they decide that they want to join as members and keep coming to our thrilling member nights their ticket price will be credited towards their membership!

- An artsy charcuterie board and light refreshments will be provided. You may also purchase additional drinks from Matsy’s.
- Bonus: FRCC will help you obtain your digital membership card throughout the night!
- ACTIVITIES FOR THE EVENING |6:30-9 PM:
- “Which Artist Are You?” Quiz | Museum Lobby
- Artist are known for their style and personality. Many artists have the same personality traits and styles that we do, take our quiz and find out which artist is your inner you. Then, let who you are inspire your participation for the night. Plus, showcase who artist personality by grabbing your name badge for the evening.
- Find the Artist | Museum
- We’ve hidden our favorite artists throughout the museum. Can you find them? There’s a catch though, there are 10 artists total–it’s a big museum–and you only have 30 minutes to find them all. Take a picture next to each for proof and get to the finish line. The first 5 groups to finish the challenge with all 10 artists in their camera roll will win a $5 Dutch gift card!
- Label The Art Piece | Collins Room
- Are you ready for a simple yet creative challenge? Get ready to relabel infamous artwork using a sticky note, your perspective, personality, and unique lingo. Will you get silly, will you relabel the artwork seriously or mysteriously? It’s all up to you! Plus, don’t forget you have your fellow members to entertain who will also stumble upon your displayed and remixed title.
- Color Takeover | Collins Room
- Here’s where your inner artist comes to play! Using markers and an enlarged “blank canvas” of your artist’s artwork, you get to step into your artist shoes with this easy activity. You’ll be taking over one of their infamous artworks– the lines are already there and all you have to do is take over the color with your fellow members. Each member will color wherever they like, however they like to finish the piece one by one by the end of the evening.
- Artists in Action | Harano Gallery
- It’s a live installation! Artists are working on a themed commission piece in the center of the room specifically on how they interpret the Cultural Center’s mission. While they work you are welcomed to watch them in action, allowing you to see the artistic process from start to finish. Plus, visit the gallery to understand the impacts of art in our world!
